On September 5, 2026, GIGABYTE visited Miaoliʼs Colorful Movie Park to carry out a tree-planting initiative. “Rising Winds, Sprouting Greens” symbolizes seeds sprouting with the wind, embodying the hope that every participant becomes a Sower of sustainability. Although the September sun remained scorching and sweat streamed down the volunteersʼ faces, it never dampened their passion. This initiative featured six different sapling species. To ensure the saplings thrive in an optimal environment, the team carefully assessed planting locations by considering species characteristics and park layout. From digging and planting to backfilling and watering, volunteers laid a solid foundation for the saplings to take root and flourish, successfully planting 230 saplings through collective effort.
Located in the coastal area of Miaoli County, Variety City provided the backdrop for a special cultural experience following the tree planting: traditional beach seining (khan-koo). This gave volunteers firsthand exposure to a century-old local heritage. As the net was cast into the sea, everyone on shore worked together, advancing and receding with the rolling tides. Using this primitive fishing technique, participants embraced the ancient wisdom of preventing overfishing. With every pull of the net, deeper emotional bonds and cultural memories were forged with the local community.
