According to the Taiwan EPA Coastal Clean-up Information Platform, this beach has not been cleaned up for three months. Styrofoam and fishing waste were spread all over the beach. After cleaning up the beach, we visited the Yongʼan Conch Cultural Experience Park. The Parkʼs guide introduced us to the early fishing culture such as the Taiwanese Beach Seine and Stone Fish Weir, as well as the important role algae reefs play in protecting the coastal environment of Taoyuan.
