GIGABYTEʼs product packaging complies with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), focusing on source reduction and increasing the use of recyclable and renewable materials to gradually reduce the environmental impact of packaging materials. In terms of packaging material management, we adopt strategies such as using non-expanded polystyrene cushioning materials, displaying recycling symbols on packaging, and restricting hazardous substances. We analyze packaging material recycling rates annually to review reduction results and promote packaging reduction initiatives, with the goal of completely phasing out single-use packaging materials by 2030.

Optimizing packaging structures to reduce waste generation and improve resource recycling efficiency
Use materials such as post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, recycled pulp, or non-foam cushioning materials
Introduce recyclable materials and simplify material composition to improve recyclability
Such as MOSH/MOAH mineral oils, PFAS, phthalates, etc.

Packaging Material Recyclability Rate
GIGABYTE strives to avoid excessive packaging while maintaining adequate protection. In 2025, GIGABYTE used a total of 7,872.47 metric tons of paper and 1,057.13 metric tons of plastic in packaging materials. The packaging material recyclability rate was 88.16%, a decrease of approximately 7% from the previous year. This was primarily due to the growing demand for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, which led to an increase in the proportion of high-end products such as servers in shipments. Since high-end precision equipment requires higher-strength cushioning protection, the usage of specific plastic cushioning packaging materials has increased accordingly. In the future, we will continue to implement our reduction plan step by step to achieve our goals, while continuously increasing the recyclability of packaging materials and the proportion of recycled materials used.
