Pursuit of Harmony between
Humanity and the Environment
GIGABYTE embraces the philosophy of “Love the Earth, Start from the Heart” to protect our planet. In addition to commissioning the GIGABYTE G-Home Sustainable Eco-Rooftop in 2013, GIGABYTE also partnered with the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation from Germany to plant more than 100,000 trees at a forest plantation in Mexico and forest land in New Taipei Cityʼs Pinglin District. The tree-planting initiative is based on the ideals of “Trees for Earth” and “Pursuit of Harmony between Humanity and the Environment.” In 2024, the “Guanxi Blue Zone” project was launched to recruit volunteers and partners for mountain, water, and soil conservation. The goal is to provide humans and organisms with a friendly environment where they can all feel at home. Proactive rehabilitation of biodiversity will recharge everyone through the healing powers of nature.

Midsummer Dance of Butterflies – Protecting Forest Sustainability
On June 21, 2025, GIGABYTE’s Green Action volunteers set out for their sixth environmental service trip to Guanxi’s Longevity Village. This time, the mission was to plant 50 Taiwan red camphor trees — a rare and protected native species known as the “Ruby of the Forest.”
Due to its high economic value and unique properties, the species was nearly extinct by 1997. By planting these trees, GIGABYTE aims to help preserve this national treasure, enhance soil and water conservation, and allow future generations to enjoy its natural fragrance and ecological benefits.

Cultivating with Heart, Awaiting a Bountiful Harvest
On April 19, 2025, GIGABYTE returned for the fifth time to Guanxi’s Longevity Village to care for the volunteer-managed farmland. Volunteers were split into two teams: one planted 200 water bamboo seedlings in the terraced fields, while the other weeded the taro field and planted 20 pumpkin seedlings.
Thanks to everyone’s teamwork, the land continues to thrive in harmony with nature. Earlier plantings — including incense cedar, peanuts, cherry blossoms, and sweet potatoes — have begun to flourish with the spring rains, and we look forward to a fruitful midsummer harvest.

Welcoming Spring with Purpose and Unity
On February 22, 2025, GIGABYTE launched its first eco-action of the year — protecting mountains, water, and land — by returning to the “Longevity Village” in Guanxi to plant Taiwan incense cedars and crops.
Volunteers were divided into cedar, taro, and fertilizing teams, working together to plant 50 Taiwan incense cedar saplings and 200 taro seedlings, reviving the beauty of century-old terraced fields and bringing vitality to the area.

Good Things Happen When “Agriculture, Ecology, and Lifestyle” Are All Sustainable
On November 16, GIGABYTE volunteers made their third trip to the “Guanxi Blue Zone” for mountain, water, and land conservation. They planted sweet potato leaves, sweet potatoes and peanuts in the vegetable garden. Previous crops were also fertilized and netting set up. Seasonal crops such as pumpkin, mustard, crown daisy, and cherry tomato were planted nearby to add even more life to the garden. Partners also went on a tour of a persimmon cake factory. Poor weather meant they didnʼt get to see persimmon cakes being dried in the open air. The trees laden with persimmons still made an impressive sight so the volunteers took commemorative photos.
During the event, elders passed on their farming experience and volunteers enthusiastically helped with peanut-growing. Some of the volunteersʼ grandchildren took part in this farming experience as well. We are now looking forward to the next visit of the Guanxi Blue Zone and harvesting the bounty of this garden farm.

Creating Scenery for the Four Seasons
On November 2, a morning after the typhoon, the Sustainable Development Office and volunteers traveled to Guanxi once more to plant trees, flowers, and fruit trees. These will create evergreen views throughout the four seasons. Volunteers not only reconnected with nature but also looked forward to seeing all the different colors that will bloom every season here one day. A total of twenty Taiwanese Cherry saplings and 200 Orange Daylily seedlings were planted this time. The mission was carried out by the volunteers who split into different groups for weeding, soil preparation, and planting. Apart from the planting of new seedlings, the volunteers continued to weed the vegetable garden. Crops such as cabbages, ginger and persimmons were harvested as well.
Employees enjoyed the morning farming session. Being close to nature reinforced the importance of protecting the environment as well.

Planting Seasonal Vegetables of Love and Hope
GIGABYTEʼs concern for planet Earth comes from the heart. On September 28, GIGABYTE employees, their friends and relatives, and brand supporters arrived at the “Guanxi Blue Zone” to join in the conservation of the mountains, waters, and land. Here, they could experience the serenity of the wilderness and the fields, as well as the life force of Mother Nature. The volunteers labored in this oasis amidst the mountains to plant seedlings of hope in the form of Taiwan Incense Cedar and Taiwan Cherry. They also tilled, covered, planted, and watered Orange Daylily and lettuce sprouts with their own hands to enjoy being surrounded by nature. The efforts of the volunteers turned land left fallow into fields filled with vibrant life. One day, the saplings will grow into cherry blossoms, and the incense cedars will become guardians of the land. They will not only create GIGABYTEʼs very own ecological sanctuary but also demonstrate how GIGABYTE is fulfilling its responsibility to the natural environment.
By immersing themselves in nature, the volunteers were able to unwind both physically and mentally. The tree planting and farm work also drove home the importance of nourishing the land for sustainable development.
The event served as the prelude to “Mountain, Water and Land Conservation.” It also established a clear roadmap for the future protection of this land.
