Set of Zero-tolerance Policies in Compliance with RBA Code of Conduct

GIGABYTE commits to complying with local laws under high moral standards and obeying regulations of industrial responsibility. Although we are not a formal member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA, originally known as EICC), we voluntarily reference our practice with the RBA Code of Conduct, including aspects of labor, health and safety, environment, and ethics.

Conflict Minerals Management

GIGABYTE has established clear procurement standards within its Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, stipulating that products containing conflict minerals shall not be purchased. Furthermore, we mandate that suppliers fulfill their due diligence responsibilities in alignment with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance. Through our official website and contractual agreements, we communicate our policy of non-support and non-use of conflict minerals to the supply chain to mitigate their impact and ensure supplier practices align with GIGABYTEʼs expectations. Components supplied to GIGABYTE must not contain metals sourced from conflict-affected regions. Suppliers are required to undergo annual conflict mineral surveys provided by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and are strictly prohibited from using raw materials from non-compliant smelters.

In 2025, GIGABYTE conducted its conflict minerals due diligence using the latest RMI CMRT 6.5 and EMRT 2.0 templates. By aligning with the updated EMRT 2.0 version, we expanded our investigation scope to include four additional minerals: copper, graphite, lithium, and nickel. The overall response rate for the year reached 86%. According to the survey results, the top three regions for smelter distribution are Asia (59%), Africa (11%), and Europe (10%).

Investigation Process of Conflict Minerals

1. Survey Issuance

Distribute RMI (CMRT/EMRT) surveys and coordinate supplier responses.

2. Internal Analysis

Verify returned smelter lists against RMI-conformant standards.

3. Supplier Engagement

Require suppliers to remove or remediate non-compliant smelters within 90 days.

4. Public Disclosure

Publish validated smelter lists and countries of origin on the official website.

Conflict Minerals Due Diligence

GIGABYTE recognizes that supply chain stability is fundamental to operational resilience. Given the critical impact of component availability from key suppliers on manufacturing, we proactively engage and communicate with those identified as having potential risks. Through the distribution of “Management Tracking Questionnaires” and “Improvement Guideline Manuals,” we require suppliers to remove non-conformant smelters or actively engage with them to ensure the value chain aligns with the principles of responsible sourcing. This rigorous due diligence establishes a resilient and traceable sustainable supply chain.

In 2025, engagement efforts with key suppliers yielded significant results: 8 suppliers removed a cumulative total of 16 smelters that did not meet CMRT standards, achieving a conformant rate of 99.37%. Regarding EMRT, 6 suppliers were successfully engaged to remove 15 non-conformant smelters, resulting in a conformant rate of 97.23%. Further analysis indicates that for the four newly included minerals—copper, graphite, lithium, and nickel—industry certification systems are still in the developmental and transitional phases, and suppliers require more time for coordination with these new entities.

Note: The survey scope covers 90% of the total procurement value.

For suppliers still utilizing questionable smelters, we enforce an immediate ban for non-specified materials. For specified materials, suppliers must implement improvements or provide alternative sourcing within 90 days, with progress monitored by relevant personnel. Given the dynamic nature of global supply chains, GIGABYTE continuously updates its due diligence results and conformant smelter lists, disclosing them periodically on our Sustainability website to fulfill our commitment to stakeholder transparency and due diligence responsibility.
